STOP CASSINI EARTH FLYBY Cover-up of Three Mile Island |
Bill Smirnow, of Peace/No-Nukes, recently spoke with Robert Rickover, the Admiral's son, who verified the authenticity of his father's statement and the validity of his ex-wife, Jane's, notarized statement. The Nuclear Information Resource Service (Tel 202-328-0002, Fax 202-462-2183] has also verified its authenticity. Peace/No-Nukes urges readers to:
WE CAN PUT A FATAL STAKE THROUGH THE HEART OF THE COMMERCIAL NUKE INDUSTRY!!! A report known as "CRAC-2" [CRAC standing for Calculation of Reactor Accident Casualties] which was done by Sandia National Labs [lovers of things nuclear] at the behest of the NRC, looks at every commercial nuclear reactor in the U.S.A. and reports on what would happen in case of a Class-9 meltdown, the worst kind of meltdown there is. "CRAC-2" [copies of which are available through your congressional reps or through NIRS] establishes 4 categories relevant to this meltdown.
This covers EVERY commercial reactor in the U.S.A. Congress published the report November 1, 1982. "The Washington Post" printed this report on Monday, November 1, 1982. Following is Sandia National Lab's "CRAC-2" report, commissioned by the NRC, description of the 2 reactors at Indian Point, approximately 30 miles from New York City.
INDIAN POINT UNIT#2: Please call your congressional representative at: 202-224-3121 and DEMAND that they get 2 COMPLETE copies of President Carter's suppressed 1979 report. One should be mailed to you, the other your representative should get and together with other representatives, hold a news conference disclosing the FULL contents of this report to the American public and calling for an immediate shut down of the commercial nuclear industry. They should get a copy of the 1982 NRC commissioned, Sandia Labs conducted "CRAC-2" report, using this as further "self-damning" evidence of the nuke industry in the news conference. |
