Editor’s Notes:I have gotten some criticism for posting controversial news stories from all sides. Just because it appears too incredible to be true- even for some who are convinced on specific conspiracies, like government complicity in toppling buildings to create endless wars. FN also endorses researching evidence of a moon-landing hoax, assassinations with government cover-up, election theft, the US and Israeli hand in the armed attack to kill everyone on board the USS Liberty, an individual who deciphered advanced measures throughout the solar system from ancient languages, and lately we have gotten criticism on linking to Christopher Story’s articles on Leo Emil Wanta and the criminal theft of trillions of dollars, etc. I used to get much flack on Global Warming awareness, or the Navy’s LFAS (sonar) hurting whales and dolphins, Depleted Uranium or the high-risk Cassini Earth flyby, but sooner or later, truth is revealed. Flyby News is an independent news resource and service, and if one of our ideas is discredited, we will share that information, too. But, so far, our record is too good for comfort. I would prefer to be mistaken on such dismal news. But what is is, and that is our philosophy to perhaps enable us to be part of a transformation from a world of chaos and evil doing, to one of integrity and unity.
The first item covers a hopeful movement for a new 9/11 investigation, inspired by Drs. Martin Luther King, Jr. and William Peppper, who was his friend and exposed the truth of the MLK assassination. His article gives a tremendous boost to the NYC 9/11 ballot initiative. Also in item one, Canada goes backwards and removes the US and Israel from its list of countries where prisoners risk being tortured. Also, make sure you read the final segment of the first item regarding the update on Sibel Edmonds, exposing the FBI 'covering up a key case file detailing evidence against corrupt government officials and their dealings with a network stealing nuclear secrets.’
In item two we link to articles showing how Stocks have plunged worldwide today. Europe Markets went down 7 Percent, the worst fall since September 11, 2001 unresolved crimes. It doesn’t look good for the US and world economy. Meanwhile the media is spinning truth to frighten people into backing Hillary Clinton. Perhaps John Edwards will drop out of the race and back Obama, to offset the Clinton clamor; policies of war mongering is part of the problem. This doesn’t mean that I trust Barack Obama and his corporate backers, but I believe they would be less disastrous, with some potential for real change, rather than a Clinton or Republican (besides Ron Paul) candidate getting (s)elected. One might recall that FN took a similar position when George W. Bush was running against Al Gore. Not many Naderites would complain anymore about our perspective. The New York City Ballot Initiative and the
Re-investigation of 9/11 By an
Independent Citizens Commission

PepperMany, deeply concerned citizens of this Republic and the world have been engaged in tireless, multifaceted research and investigation about the events surrounding the 9/11 tragedy. These patriots have produced articles, essays, books and films which seek to answer the multitude of unanswered questions about this atrocity. Not having researched these questions myself and having no answers, when I have appeared before them I have encouraged the continuation of their valuable work as citizens of the Republic. I have also advised these patriots to be wary of disinformation and provocative irrationality in their midst.
In their numbers are distinguished scientists, engineers, architects, professional people from all walks of life and families of victims who seek closure. Amongst the latter are the colloquially named Jersey Girls (Lorie, Mindy, Patty and Monica) for whose courage, determination, intelligence and steadfastness, I have boundless admiration. They propounded 125 questions to the Kean/Hamilton Commission; one was answered. In fact, it was largely as a result of their efforts and those of other victims families that a Commission was established in the first place over the initial opposition of the Bush administration.
The failure of that Commission to seek, even address the critical questions is now a part of contemporary history. Former Georgia Senator, Max Cleland, resigned early on in disgust citing official obstruction. More recently, Co-Chairmen, Kean and Hamilton, have themselves declared their awareness that their work was obstructed and denied valuable information, materials and evidence. Consequently, there is overwhelming agreement that the initial government sponsored investigation was a failure in respect of bringing truth about 9/11 to the light of day.
Left alone, all of the incisive, powerful representations and analysis produced by our researching brothers and sisters will be cast into the dust bin of history. The official story will prevail to be learned by succeeding generations of the worlds people.
Put forward under oath before a formally constituted citizens Commission independent of government their work and conclusions will be tested, confirmed or rejected and, at last the truth may emerge.
That is why a group of citizens in the City of New York, aided, supported and encouraged by citizens throughout the United States and the world (remember, 80 nations lost citizens in that attack) have come together to mount an effort to put a Referendum question on the ballot in 2008 for the consideration of the voters of New York City, seeking their approval for the establishment of a new, independent Commission to investigate all aspects of 9/11. This Commission will consist of Commissioners who are prestigious individuals, not only from New York City and the United States, but the world.
They will convene with a commitment to go where the facts they accept lead, and they will have subpoena power to compel testimony under oath and full investigative and legal support staff.
I suggest that this will be the death knell for any deceit, disinformation and cover-up, and I encourage all citizens, everywhere, to support the establishment of this Commission and its work.
I note that I have been requested to write this message for publication on the formal Holiday of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. In my youth, he became a friend and colleague, those many years ago. I have since spent many years seeking the truth about his assassination, even legally representing the man convicted of killing him who both the family and I knew was innocent and the victim of being set up by the government.
Without doubt, Martin King would be in despair over what has transpired in his beloved native land. I also have no doubt that he would enthusiastically support this quest for truth about the atrocity that has shaken and drastically changed our world. He would remind us that truth crushed to earth will rise again and that we should never continue to mourn into passivity the loss of liberty and our loved ones but organize.
I call on human beings within sight and sound of this message to rally behind this effort for a new investigation by an independent Citizens Commission and, in your thousands, to support it with massive numbers of volunteer workers as well as monetary contributions.

A patriarch in my Irish/Scots family established for us the credo non nobis solum nati sumas - We exist not for ourselves alone. It has informed my life, and in that speck of historical time, no event has so traumatized and challenged the people and the Republic I love as that which occurred on September 11, 2001.
So, then, together, let us join our brothers and sisters in New York City and from the very belly of the beast, seek truth and justice.

Canada's foreign ministry, responding to pressure from close allies, said on Saturday it would remove the United States and Israel from a watch list of countries where prisoners risk being tortured. Both nations expressed unhappiness [!] after it emerged they had been listed in a document that formed part of a training course manual on torture awareness given to Canadian diplomats. Foreign Minister Maxime Bernier said he regretted the embarrassment caused by the public disclosure of the manual, which also classified some U.S. interrogation techniques as torture. [See:

Ottawa reverses torture stance
U.S., Israel wrongly included, foreign affairs minister says of federal government manual 20 Jan 2008 The Canadian government now says Guantanamo Bay, the United States and Israel were mistakenly included as sites of possible torture in a government manual that was inadvertently disclosed last week. Foreign Affairs Minister Maxime Bernier said yesterday he has ordered the manual be rewritten and assured the U.S. and Israel the document did not reflect the government's position.

just published a follow-up to their explosive
front-pager from two weeks ago which described allegations by former FBI translator turned whistleblower Sibel Edmonds.
THE FBI has been accused of covering up a key case file detailing evidence against corrupt government officials and their dealings with a network stealing nuclear secrets.
The assertion follows allegations made in The Sunday Times two weeks ago by Sibel Edmonds, an FBI whistleblower, who worked on the agency’s investigation of the network.

Global stock markets plunged on Monday as fears spread that the turmoil in United States mortgage markets is spreading. Indexes in Europe fell as much as 7 percent after a huge sell-off in Asia. "There's something approaching panic in the market," Holger Schmieding, the chief European economist at Bank of America in London, said by telephone.

The stock market was in meltdown today as nearly £60billion was wiped off London shares. A combination of poor economic figures and the worsening global credit crunch sent the FTSE 100 plunging. Shares in London tumbled Monday in their worst session since the terrorist attacks on Sept. 11, 2001 as a sharp downturn in mining and banking shares pointed to growing investor fears about a slowdown in global economic growth and a U.S. recession. The U.K. FTSE 100 index declined 5.5%, or 323.5 points, to 5,578.20, led by financials including the Royal Bank of Scotland, which dropped 8.2%, and mining giant BHP Billiton, which fell 8.7%. On Sept. 11, 2001, the FTSE 100 dropped 287.70 points, according to data from Thomson Financial.
