(D-Alaska, 1969-1981)Editor's Notes: Last weekend I learned that a new friend had lost his father at the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001. I was astonished that Pete (not his real name) accepted the official version, and believed that many of the families of those who had died would not want another investigation, even a citizens' investigation. The pain goes too deep, but when you think of the ongoing terrible atrocities going on in the name of a lie, worrying about just a few thousand victims' families has to be put into perspective. More than a million fatalities have occurred and there appears to be no stopping the military-industrial-media-congressional-pharmaceutical complex pursuit of greed, fear, control, and ultimate destruction.
My friend explained that he could not trust his questioning the government's official version, since he realized that much in his life he blamed his dad while not seeing more from his perspective. He finally accomplished this and he recalled that on September 11, 1999 they healed their bond. I think the pain of losing his dad on that day two years later by corrupt greed power madness is too scary and disturbing to consider. I hope he will overcome his fear and recognize the obvious facts before us, and deal with it in a nonviolent approach that supports the best principles stated in the U.S. Declaration of Independence: "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain inalienable Rights, that among these are life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. That to secure these rights governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed."
