Editor’s Notes: Flyby News is again presenting a free public screening and discussion of the film called: A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Moon. I have watched this film about a half a dozen times, and have received a lot of flack for showing it publicly, and posting a link to it from my web site. I hear similar responses from 9/11 truthers that I hear from skeptics of government complicity regarding the so-called "terrorist attacks." And I appreciate their concern, since I realize that we have a majority of New York citizens wanting a new investigation, and so few are willing to consider a moon-landing hoax. So, why am I promoting consideration of such a (can I say it?) conspiracy?
FN has been in front of the curve in awakening to the US military plans for world domination. Most web sites were not around before the turn of the Century; most I visit surfaced after the election theft of 2000; many more came after 9/11/01, and many resulted from the lies uncovered for the US preemptive war on Iraq, and the continuing atrocities. Yet FN came out of an awareness that was inspired by the investigative reporting and author of The Wrong Stuff: The Space Program's Nuclear Threat To Our Planet, Karl Grossman. We met at the University of Massachusetts in Amherst in October 1997, just before the launching of NASA's Cassini space probe. The Professor of Journalism from Westbury, the State University of NY, gave a slide presentation exposing the highly dangerous maneuver NASA was planning from its launching and from a flyby of Earth at record speeds with a record amount of Plutonium on board. But he didn't stop there; he showed me the space commands plans for engaging weapons in outer space to control the Earth below, in their documents placed on the web called "Vision 2020."
Unsuccessfully we tried to get the nuclear weapon abolition movement to join forces to expose the high-risk 18 August 1999 Cassini Earth flyby. However, they wanted to focus on abolition alone, and coalition building has been a difficult feat for many involved in the abolition and peace movements. I joined various campaigns at different times, to exemplify the unity required for us to be effective. But it is rare to find an organization willing to connect the dots to empower each other movements for peace and justice. However, I want to add that I learned about the horrors of the 1967 attack and cover-up of the USS Liberty from 911Truth.org. I appreciate this organization's support for related actions, and agree with them that a key campaign for reclaiming a lost USA democracy and for world peace has to come from truth and justice revealed about the events of September 11, 2001.
However, FN still will connect the dots to call for coalition building and investigation on key issues that can help stop the insanity of the current NWO planeticide. There are some perks for this kind of work, for I get to meet some very special people. One such person that contacted me from a press release when exposing the Cassini flyby is Bart Jordan. If I sometimes feel like an invisible celebrity, I am humbled by his super invisible celebrity status. And I am grateful for my posting his extraordinary story and information that may have helped protect information of technologically advanced ancient civilizations. This issue updates more research on his work with NASA on the photographing of the Cydonia region on Mars. And to this day, he is the only one with any explanation for how the distances of moons from the center of Mars were calculated and published in the Encyclopaedia Britannica for its article on Mars, running from 1966 to 1973.
This issue is bringing all this to the surface, again, and more. Including the recent findings of evidence of a conspiracy in the killing of President John F. Kennedy. But do keep in focus positive campaigns to make a difference, such as the NYC 9/11 Ballot Initiative, and the challenge by the author of The Shell Game to stop the next false "false flag" action that could lead us into nuclear war, martial law, and a complete breakdown into fascism and world dictatorship.. For this reson, too, FN supports Barack Obama for the Democrat Party’s nominee for US President; since if he loses, the race for President between Hillary Clinton and John McCain would certainly lead us astray in response to another false flag terrorist action. Obama, a lawyer, is not ideal to many progressive people; however he demonstrated insight in voting against the Bush preemptive war authority. to vote against authorizing George Bush for a preemptive war on bad intelligence.
The stakes are high, and connecting the dots for each campaign is critical. Thus, this issue covers a wide spectrum of deceit and lies. Finally, after more than 20 years of waiting, we’ve been given the first legitimate color images of Cydonia. On September 21st, 2006 the European Space Agency released
the latest HRSC (High Resolution Stereo Camera) color imagery of the Cydonia region of Mars. Unlike their
earlier release, which was taken in December 2004 under less than ideal conditions, this one came captioned and with a politicized article that emphasized the usual non-arguments against the Face on Mars.
Taken on July 22nd 2006 under much better lighting conditions and from straight overhead, these 13.7 meter per pixel images (designated 305-230906-3253-6-co1 and co2) provide the best overview yet of the area that has come to be known as the “Cydonia complex.” What they reveal is a stunning landscape that is strongly confirmative of almost all of this investigation’s previous predictions. In many ways, because they are color, these two stereo images are far better than supposedly higher resolution images generated by MGS.
In fact, what’s quite clear from examining these new images is that the previous Mars Global Surveyor images of the Face (and Cydonia) leave a lot – quite a lot – to be desired.
So, is that why they had to produce the “Elephant Man” version of the Face, and blank out the other areas in the MRO data? Will we be forever dependent on outside sources for “real” data on Cydonia, or will NASA and JPL ever give us the clean, straight up ground truth on Cydonia? And how subject to pressure will NASA’s partners, like the ESA (who felt compelled to accompany this new image release with the usual political tripe about the Face) be?
It’s sad to have to paraphrase former Secretary of State George Shultz again, but… the “Elephant Man” doesn’t change my opinion of NASA’s integrity; it only confirms it.

I find the conspiracy reviews that say this book has no proof to be absurd. This is an excellent book with examples to back up the theories and problems concerning Nasa secrecy and the mars missions in particular. The physics of Hoagland makes more sense than what was taught in all my college physics courses. Anyone who says there is no proof in this book either didn't read or didn't understand the book. Just the Brookings Institute report and the way Nasa stonewalled on Cydonia proves they are hiding something. If there is a possibility that there are structures on Mars then why would Nasa not want to take better pictures of the area. If nothing else, you would think they would like to disprove all the scientists who propose that these are not natural formations.
The photos we do have are directly from Nasa and even they admitted (finally) that they had lied when saying they had later photos of Cydonia which did not show the structures. If it's a conspiracy to think the government or defense agencies might hide something, then so be it. Anyone who believes the government does not keep secrets from the people has not studied history. Just look to Gulf of Tonkin, Nixon, Iran-Contra, Operation Northwoods, etc. A conspiracy is just a secret plan between 2 or more people. To say this never happens is ridiculous.

As a professional educator I felt the "Mars Theory Falls on Its Face" editorial by the Omaha World Herald and the posturing by Dan Rather was an example of poor news reporting. Poor journalism requires an answer from qualified experts in order to nurture and inspire people. In order to question good science no matter what one's position or philosophy, biased conclusions which are not based on timely scientific study, should be considered suspect by the reader. The World Herald writer of the article in question, would have people conclude that all of the individuals who brought the Mars Face into the public eye were nut cases, using off the wall science and that they offered no "hard proof" on which to base their investigations. This is simply not the case. In order to put the current Face image into proper perspective, for our youth in particular, it is important they know the honest history here...

Harry A. Jordan is 57 years old, lives in Nebraska and has many relatives living on the east coast. Mr. Jordan's book "Enigma on Mars & Truth on Earth", yet to be published, will be illustrated and thoroughly documented on sources and proofs of NASA's use of ancient hieroglyphic translations which inspired the Viking missions. Harry Jordan has worked with Bart Jordan who was known as the "Mars Man" before NASA was formed. Bart Jordan's work was highly utilized by NASA in the 70's.
Harry A. Jordan has presented his work and proofs in over 50 National symposiums regarding the notorious Face on Mars and collaborated with the Mars Research team of Mr. Vince DiPietro, Mr. Gergory Molenaar and Dr. John Brandenberg, formed in Washington D.C. he also is spoken of in Richard Hoagland's Monuments Of Mars: A City on The Edge Of Forever. Harry Jordan claims hard proofs in classified data and has generated written inquiries to NASA for over 15 years asking for answers to his questions regarding the proofs he shared at Goddard. He has not yet received a satisfactory answer regarding specific surveyed proofs.
Jordan believes NASA has issued classified "National Security" sanctions within its own ranks against release or official endorsement of any hard survey data which would offer up verifiable proofs to the public. He also believes the public out cry over architectural artifacts existing on the surface of Mars would overwhemingly reprioritize NASA goals to exploration and education. Instead, he believes current expansive use of NASA programs for military purposes is the order of the day.

The moon is 240,000 miles away from Earth. The space shuttle has never gone more than 400 miles from our atmosphere. Except for Apollo astronauts;, no humans even claim to have gone beyond low-earth orbit. When the space shuttle astronauts did get to an altitude of 400 miles, the radiation of the Van Allen belts forced them to a lower altitude. CNN reported: "The radiation belts surrounding Earth may be more dangerous for astronauts than previously believed (like when they supposedly went through them thirty years ago to reach the Moon.) The phenomenon known as the 'Van Allen Belts' can spawn (newly discovered) 'Killer Electrons' that can dramatically affect the astronauts' health."
In a recent (2008) article in the Guardian (UK), a science correspondent wrote: "The question of how to fend off the solar wind has been given some urgency by an international plan - the Global Exploration Strategy, signed by 14 space agencies including those of Britain, China, France and the US - to return to the moon and send astronauts further into space. George Bush has committed the US to a return trip to the moon by 2020.." So why after the supposed multiple successful lunar landing and take-offs has humans remained in low orbit, since the 1972 and Apollo missions ended; is it coincidence that these missions ended when Russia and other countries had the technology in place to confirm a human moon landing and take-off. According to Bart Jordan at that time, NASA had not the technology of a successful lift-off in its rocket systems, even if they landed on the moon through all the intense radiation belt they would have had to go through.
What is unique about Bart Sibrel’s film, besides its artistic blending of images demonstrating the hubris of humankind throughout the ages, and the current events of the arms race, Vietnam War, race riots, but he also presented some mislabeled, unedited, behind-the-scenes footage from NASA showing the crew of Apollo 11 'staging a shot of being half-way to the moon.' The quote used in his film from George Orwell’s book, 1984, is very apropos: "Those who control the future control the past." It may be time for another look back to what many of us believed once was true. Did man really land on the moon?

A transcript claiming to detail Lee Harvey Oswald's plot to assassinate President John F Kennedy has been discovered in an old courtroom safe.
The record – described as reading like a conspiracy theorist's dream - appears to minute talks between Oswald and Jack Ruby, who killed Oswald after Kennedy's assassination.
Today, the Dallas County district attorney's office said other documents found included letters from former district attorney Henry Wade, the prosecuting lawyer in Ruby's trial.
But the apparent record of the conversation between Oswald and Ruby was probably fake, said the district attorney, Craig Watkins, and was instead likely to be long-forgotten material for a proposed film.
Oswald says in the transcript: "I can still do it, all I need is my rifle and a tall building; but it will take time, maybe six months to find the right place; but I'll have to have some money to live on while I do the planning."
The Dallas Morning News reported the transcript and other material were found in a safe on the 10th floor of the county courthouse.
The memorabilia – the rest of which was believed to be genuine – also included letters from Wade to Ruby, a gun holster and clothing that probably belonged to Ruby and Oswald, Watkins said.
The transcript suggests Ruby and Oswald met at Ruby's nightclub on October 4 1963, less than two months before the assassination on November 22 that year.
In it, they talked of killing the president because the mafia wanted to "get rid" of his brother, the then attorney general, Robert Kennedy.

For 40 years and counting, the brave survivors (and their families) of the USS Liberty have tried telling the world what happened to them on June 8th, 1967 when the state of Israel attacked the United States ship for over an hour with as many as 1,000 rockets, tens of thousands of armor-piercing rounds and 5 torpedoes. For the most part, the American press has yawned and decided to cover the latest Hollywood scandal or some other nonsense that has absolutely no bearing on the more important issues facing the American people.
Now, a new development has taken place where the survivors of the Liberty will not be forced to beg a criminally-incompetent American media to tell their story. Beginning Saturday, February 23rd, the USS Liberty survivors will have their own live radio program appearing on the Republic Broadcasting Network found at
http://www.republicbroadcasting.org.The live, two-hour call-in program will appear every Saturday from 10 am to 12 pm CST and will be hosted by Phil Tourney, survivor of the Liberty and 3-time president of the Liberty Veteran’s Association and Mark Glenn, contributing editor for American Free Press newspaper. The weekly program, in addition to discussing the event taking place 40 years ago, will also be an in-depth analysis of current political events that have as their origin the fact that a United States ship was attacked in an act of premeditated war and was not rectified. and the omission of Jonathan Mark's post is suspect. Is this site being used as a psy-ops campaign to discourage new investigations and consideration
of the US role in the tragic events and cover-up of the attack on the USS liberty, using inflammatory anti-semitic-producing dialog as a method?]For me this aborted false flag tragic action, that I did not even know about until I learned about it from 911Truth.org - more than 30 years after the criminal assault on innocent US service people, should not be supported as a war against the people of Israel or the Jewish people - this diminishes the reality of those really responsible for such atrocities who are obviously in part controlling the governments of Israel and the US and with many other nations complicit in a cover-up, like that of what happened on September 11, 2001.
Often those blaming one people, race, or religion over another, are the perpetrators of the shadow governments' will to divide and conquer the majority of the people interested in peace and co-existence with integrity and compassion. Not to be manipulated by such dark forces is the key issue in getting real investigation and finding the real henchmen behind the atrocities, false wars, where all people suffer.
This is why many have not learned about the attack against the USS Liberty, by those fearful of the ignorance of bigotry and hatred. Usually such elements come from a person not willing to love oneself.. and reach out to the common bonds we each share.. so they classify one another.. trying to blame someone outside themselves.. someone different.. and become willing antagonists to shift the blame from where it really belongs.. that can only be discovered by thorough investigations.
This radio program is important to bring out the truth and not to bring out false divisions to cover it up more. Perhaps, following the lead of NYC911initiative.org the USS Liberty survivors can help lead the people to voting for real investigations for the truth that sets us all free - no matter our religion or background - otherwise we will continue to be manipulated victims of those dark shadows running many governments.
